Bedside X-ray, ultrasound, and EKG. Results back in hours.

For skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, home health, hospice, and practices across Alabama and Florida. A licensed technologist comes to the patient with hospital-grade portable equipment; a U.S.-based, board-certified radiologist or cardiologist reads the study; your team has results in 2 to 4 hours.

What we perform at the bedside

All studies use hospital-grade digital equipment. Technologists preview images on-site, and images upload securely within minutes so the reading physician can start immediately.

Digital X-ray

  • Chest, bone, and joint studies at the bedside
  • Images previewed on-site and uploaded within minutes
  • Read by U.S.-based, board-certified radiologists
  • Digital capture reduces patient radiation exposure

Results in 4 hours for routine studies, 2 hours for STAT

Ultrasound and echocardiography

  • Abdominal, vascular, Doppler, and soft-tissue imaging
  • Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) studies
  • Bedside echocardiograms
  • Performed by ARDMS-certified sonographers; read by board-certified physicians

Weekend ultrasound available; prep studies may need a longer window

12-lead EKG

  • 12-lead electrocardiography at the bedside
  • Interpreted by U.S.-based, board-certified cardiologists
  • Results available online or on a mobile device

Often paired with a chest X-ray on the same visit

Who orders from VuePoint

The company was founded in 2014 for exactly this problem: getting a resident to an imaging center meant an ambulance, a staff escort, a lost afternoon, and a delayed care plan.

  • Skilled nursing facilities
  • Assisted living communities
  • Home health and hospice agencies
  • Primary care and geriatric practices
  • Accountable care organizations
  • Health plans with members in care settings

What changes when imaging comes to the patient

  • Avoid ambulance transports and ER visits that exist only to get a picture
  • Fewer missed or delayed exams; less disruption for residents with dementia or mobility limits
  • Results in the chart the same shift, by secure portal or fax
  • A dedicated dispatch team coordinates technologist schedules and calls ahead
  • Imaging history and reports available to the care team in one place

How to order

  1. Send the requisition

Fax the requisition form or order in the client portal. Include the reason for exam, ordering provider, and any entry or mobility notes. For STAT needs, call (866) 466-2721.

  2. Dispatch confirms a time

Our dispatch team schedules a technologist and calls the facility or home to confirm. Routine studies are typically completed within 12 hours.

  3. Results in 2–4 hours

The study is read by a board-certified radiologist or cardiologist. Results post to the portal and fax to the ordering provider — 2 hours for STAT, 4 for routine.

Frequently asked questions

What are the service hours and cut-off times?

Routine service runs 8 AM–7 PM. STAT service runs 7 PM–8 AM. We operate 365 days a year, weekends included, and generally complete exams within a 12-hour window unless the study requires prep.

How fast are results?

Providers typically have access to results within 2 hours for STAT studies and 4 hours for routine studies, through the secure portal or by fax.

Do you bill the patient's insurance?

Yes. We bill the patient's insurance directly for long-term care, home health, and assisted living settings. If a patient has a co-pay, it will not be larger than the co-pay at a physician's office.

Is there a patient weight limit?

No. Our equipment uses a protective grid, so there is no patient weight limit.

Is there a step rule for entering a home?

No. We evaluate entry and adjust staffing as needed. Please tell us when you order if the entry is difficult so we can plan for it.

Can an in-home exam happen in bad weather?

Yes. A technologist calls to schedule and confirm. We put the safety of patients and staff first in severe weather and will reschedule if conditions require it.

How do I order an exam?

Complete the requisition form and send it by fax, or call (866) 466-2721. Established facilities can also order through the client portal.

Received a call or letter about a health screening?

Your health plan arranged this at no cost to you. Call to pick a day that works — Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM Central.
